Does that defence work if the company is sued and they try and spread the
blame to you?

I'm interested as that excuse seems to be my bosses attitude as well.
Personally I dont think you are protected from any of the brown stuff flying
from the fan.

It would make my life as an Exchange Admin a bit easier
if we could just wipe all emails more than a year old
and then blame the Data Protection Act :-)
