The Service Account Administrator is often referred to as the Site Service
Account because it applies to the entire site. So your answer, as a couple
of others have told you, is that any account you make a Service Account
Administrator applies to the whole site. I wouldn't try to change too many
things at one time. You should first move the server, wait for things to
stabilize, then try to change the service account.

Ummmmm...Andy....Ok...so I will in fir by your answer that;

Quoting

Appendix A
#1 "1. Bring up a new server as a new server in the same site with a
different name of course"

That I should have assumed that it would have to be the same exchange
service account?
As I just rescanned the FAQ and missed? it prior to Appendix A #1. i.e. I
found no direct reference to having to make it the same service account.

Q: Can I load Exchange on my AIX box? as the second server......

;-)

thx

Ok if I use the "Ed svr move meth" when adding the "new"/second server

Does the new server with exchange need to use the existing Exchange service
account OR can I make a new Exchange service account for it?

FAQ: readit, reading it, loving it, learning it

thx
