If you are changing the DNS domain of your exchange server, make sure to change the DNS name on your Exchange server (NETWORK ->Protocols ->TCP/IP -> Properties.
You may also need to make changes to the inbound connections on your Internet Mail Connector, so that the server knows how to find itself.
