Ahh, the dreaded "reviewer" method. This is what causes the corruption of the free/busy supposedly.
-----Original Message----- From: Nikki Cleland - ITCX [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, January 25, 2002 11:05 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: calendar for Resources items I have implemented the following: 1) Create a public folder that everyone has access to. 2) Open each resource and make sure the permissions are "reviewer" on the calendar. 3) Create a link to the calendar for each by dragging the calendar icon onto your desktop. 4) Rename these links appropriately (example: Blue room calendar) 5) Drag these links into the public folder. I also used the Availability form http://www.slipstick.com/dev/olforms/availvue.htm and published it to the public folder. When you open this form it is pre-populated with the free/busy information of all of our resources for quick reference. Our admins love it. They can go right to the Public Folder and check if a room is available or open the calendar of the room and see who has what booked. -----Original Message----- From: Hunter, Lori [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, January 25, 2002 9:52 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: calendar for Resources items Oh gotcha. Then do checkout cdolive. I tried to do something similar on our intranet, but I got stuck and then got busy. -----Original Message----- From: Chris Levis [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, January 25, 2002 10:50 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: calendar for Resources items well, i did all that when i set up the mailboxes. and we've successfully scheduled meetings with no conflicts. what i'm looking for is a way to publish the Calendar for each of the resources into maybe a public folder or something. That way, users can see where a resource is going to be and when -----Original Message----- From: Hunter, Lori [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, January 25, 2002 11:46 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: calendar for Resources items You should setup mail profiles for each resource on a machine so that when you need to run /cleanfreebusy on them if ever, you'll be ready to do so. Logging on each resource as the resource generates the free/busy time so you can test the resource and then leave it. -----Original Message----- From: Chris Levis [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, January 25, 2002 9:43 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: calendar for Resources items (Exch 5.5; all clients use OL2k) So I have a bunch of mailboxes set up as resources (laptops, projectors, etc). Now, how can my users see a resource's free/busy time? Right now, we have to pretend to set up a meeting and invite the resources to be shown when they're available... Is there something buried in Outlook that I haven't found? Thx =) __________________________ Chris Levis Applied Geographics, Inc.
