What you should do is restore to a recovery server and use Outlook to
move the restored messages to a PST and then to the production mailbox.

Subject: Removing duplicated messages

Exchange 5.5 SP4
Veritas Backup Exec

When restoring a mailbox, the backup software would restore all messages

inside the mailbox to the original mailbox which is left intact. All
previous information are duplicated with the information contained in
the
mailbox backup. Is there a way to remove duplicates? thanks.
