First thing to keep in mind: error codes (like 550) come from the receiving server, not the sending client (in SMTP the host to open the connection is called the client). Your troubleshooting begins on that server. What it is saying is that receiving server does not possess any information about the named domain.
Since the named domain is your own domain, this is a problem, obviously.
