For the record, the answer is yes. You can stop the IS, restore the DIR.EDB, delete the PRIV.EDB and PUB.EDB and start the IS. You'll start with a blank database. All of your mailbox definitions are in DIR.EDB so essentially you'll be starting with blank mailboxes.
BUT, follow the fine advice given by other respondents and perform a DS export/import. Much easier. Serdar Soysal -----Original Message----- From: Pennell, Ronald B. I have restored my 1st server in the site in my test lab and have a good dir,pub and priv.edb. My production site has 5 servers. I want to set up my test lab to mirror my current site, don't care too much about the users mail, but, want to setup empty mailbox's... If I just want to use the dir.edb for each server, with empty priv & pub's will it create the empty mailbox's for me on those servers? _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
