Make sure that you have name resolution consistency across the board. If that server only uses WINS and the rest of the organization uses DNS and WINS, you may see this problem. One server will send a request and identify itself as "server.domain.com". The receiving server tries to verify the IP address and if it resolves it to only "server" and not the FQDN you will start receiving these errors. This is due to the bindback string changes in SP3 and on. See Q279537 for details.
