I did look up the RFC...and am soliciting a response from this list since it wasn't much help in resolving my problem. Here is an excerpt from the RFC that doesn't apply to my Exchange server : The lookup first attempts to locate an MX record associated with the name. If a CNAME record is found instead, the resulting name is processed as if it were the initial name. If no MX records are found, but an A RR is found, the A RR is treated as if it was associated with an implicit MX RR, with a preference of 0, pointing to that host.

I did some troubleshooting and it seems like the domain does not have an MX record. I'm running Exchange 5.5. SP4 that is using DNS to send email externally. What's wierd though is that they are receiving email from other people. I even sent them a test message from my YAHOO account and they received it.
