Thanks for the input everyone. I have nothing against the ADC. In fact, I would rather do it that way since it seems to be the most recommended. I have used exmerge to migrate from 5.5 to 2k, but in a much smaller environment. I've already done most of the clean up stuff like ntdsnomatch and the consistency adjuster and I would say our 5.5 server is pretty clean. I think I will just tell my fellow coworker to go take a long walk off a short pier.
