Scenario (simplified)

E2000 at New York Site (mixed mode Exch & mixed mode AD)
E5.5 at Washington & Chicago
The E2000 server also runs SRS
There are trad dir-rep connectors running between NYC <----> Washington & NYC <---->
Chicago
The dir-rep works in that Washington and Chicago know about each other and NYC
2 way ADC agreement between AD at NYC and the SRS running at NYC
2 way ADC agreements between AD at NYC and Washington as well as AD at NYC and Chicago

Everything seems to work, but I cant get my head around the following: If a new user
is created in NYC does the change get replicated to the GAL in (say) Washington
through path (a) or (b)

(a) AD ----> SRS through ADC then SRS ----> Washington through dir-rep

(b) AD ----> Washington through the ADC

This is how MSPS told me to set everything up but it seems like there is a redundant
path. I understand why the dir reps need to be there because NYC is a hub between
Chicago and Washington so that's the way the config stubs at Chicago and Washington
learn about the infrastructure, but why do I need the ADC agreements between NYC
------> Washington & Chicago

Thanks for any help
