I had a similar problem sending mail to an ISP just recently, similar in the sense that the email was sent but never received and no error message on my end. I was able to find the problem by using a packet scanning/capture utility called Ethereal (http://www.ethereal.com/). This allowed me to view the TCP transaction between or exchange server and the others ISP's mail server. I was able to read the rejection message from there server. This is a freeware, but amongst the nicest piece of freeware I have used.
