In the document "Microsoft Titanium getting Started Guide" it says quote, "Exchange Titanium Beta benefits from an improved memory allocator in Windows .NET, which decreases the likelihood of running into situations that result in VM fragmentation. In addition there is no longer a need for Exchange customers who have more than 1 Gig of memory to purchase the Advance Server SKU, which previously supported the /3GB switch."
So it seems you still have to use the switch, but they made it easier on us. At least that is how I read it. You might want to read other documents that come with the software. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Johann Kruse" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Exchange Discussions" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, January 07, 2003 6:05 PM Subject: Titanium Beta 2 and the /3gb switch > Hi all, > > Does anybody know if the '/3GB' switch is required in the boot.ini on > Titanium Beta 2 running on .Net Enterprise RC2 with >1Gb RAM? > > Johann > > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- > > > _________________________________________________________________ > List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm > Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp > To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
