Does the current systems get reports of being down or slowness. Are you running out of IP addresses due to the sub-netting. Which monitoring tools are you using to see where potential problem may lurk. I have seen some sites with the coolest gear, but improperly tuned and lack of monitoring can make any setup act poorly.
