The recipient's mail server is set to reject mail from you based on your originating IP/DNS name. Apparently they don't like you...

I thought maybe there was a dns issue due to the fact that the recipient domain contained my domain name (from myorg.org to myorgmadison.org), but people sending email from myorgmadison.org are getting similar responses when they email myorg.org, both mention covad in the mail from line. The following recipient(s) could not be reached: [EMAIL PROTECTED] on 5/26/2003 8:16 PM You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator. <myorgnet1.MYORGORG.LOCAL #5.7.1 smtp;550 5.7.1 This system is configured to reject mail from h-68-166-45-114.mclnva23.covad.net> KB searches for "You do not have permission to send to this recipient" are not very helpful and the examples do not mention the "This system is configured to reject" line. Do I have to add this address as a forwarder? That sounds messy. Is covad a culprit? Any ideas? Thanx in advance. _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=& lang=english To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=&lang=english To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
