I know this is probably a dumb question. In fact, I KNOW this is a dumb question for a Friday.
I've set up a test nt4, 5.5 environment by doing a couple of restores (both IS and DS) from 2 sites in our live environment. (Several reasons for this incl. recovering a few public folders, testing our DR procedures, and preparing for a 2K upgrade) Our live environment is actually 5 sites, however I was wondering if it is possible to somehow remove the 3 sites from the Directory that I don't intend to restore. I have tried removing the connectors (x400 and DRC) from the gateway server, but there is no server in the site to contact to delete. I'm thinking I need to somehow remove these 3 orphan sites, and perhaps running admin in raw state, but this is just Friday theorising. Anyone have any ideas?
