maybe you need to clean views in your Outlook or maybe it is something worse, like corruption in the information store

I assume that this is some kind of indicator of unread messages. All folders have them. My question is this: Sometimes it shows that their are unread messages when I know that I have read them all. Even when i view the Inbox to look for the unread message(s), the Inbox shows no unread messages. Same with the calendar....how can I find the "unread" appointment? I have done F5 to refresh the screen and nothing.... Anyone ever seen this or has this happened to you?
