Thank you very much to whom trying to help.

I have successfully created a SMS package to encrypt the exchange
service password for running exmerge utility. As this package would be
used by some authorised staff only, so I think I have not exposed too
much risk here.

Create a batch file that would use ExMerge. When ExMerge runs in batch
mode, it reads the names of mailboxes to be exported from a text file,
and I also uses an INI file to figured out which text file to use. So
preconfigure the INI file.

Use windows Task Scheduler and schedule the batch file to run. When you
schedule it, you will be asked to supply username and password - stick
the service account credentials in there.

When someone needs to export mailboxes, they could modify the text file
that has a list of mailboxes, then go to the Scheduled Tasks,
right-click on the ExMerge job and run it.
(or if they want to use a different text file altogether, they could
even modify the INI file to point to the other text tile)

Subject: exmerge

Dear all,

So far all the articles I have read about "exmerge" is, it requires
"Exchange service account" logon to perform the task.

I am trying to setup a standard procedure that desktop support staff can
learn using "exmerge" for archiving mailbox data to PST before deleting
the exchange mailbox accounts. As I am avoiding informing them the
password of "exchange service account" if possible, can somebody advise
how to handle the situation?

Thank you.
