Open ESM and browse to the SMTP VS of the server that receives inbound SMTP (or the SMTP VS to which you want the filter to be applied to) and open the properties of the SMTP VS. On the General Tab, next to the "IP address:" field there is an Advanced button. Click that and then select the network interface you want to apply the filter to (if there is no specific IP defined then you will see "All Unassigned"). Select that and click Edit and presto..you have a small and obscure check box that says "Apply Filter".
