But yet on the server the outlook client sees them as you should when you pull down from global to the other address entries. I have given the permissions for default as reviewer and anonymous as none. So I guess in order to see the folders in the mail drop down list I need add some more permissions or will it take time to replicate to the users ?? Whether the process is the same in E2k, I can't say. However, due to the fact that the admins for our Ex5.5 org won't let me add 22,000 CR to the GAL, I have to do this for the GAL that is exported as a .csv from our parent company. So far, the only solution I have found to do this is to use File / Import and export... / Import from another program or file and then choose the CSV (windows) option to import them to the contacts folder of the mailbox. Once you've done that, move all the contacts to the PF. It's a PIA, but even after asking this list a couple of times, I haven't found an easier way to do it...Outlook doesn't allow you to import directly to a PF. One thing that does help the process to go faster, is to empty the contacts folder of the mailbox first and then use the option to allow it to create duplicates. Otherwise, it's going to compare every contact it imports against what is already there. As you get more and more contacts in the folder, it's going to go slower. If you tell it not to create duplicates, once it does the comparison, it then has to move the old one to the Deleted Items folder, which further slows down the process. -----Original Message----- From: Martin Blackstone [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, July 29, 2003 11:23 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Secondary Address Book Probably the easiest way would be to do it via the import/export tool in Outlook. -----Original Message----- From: mh exch [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, July 29, 2003 11:22 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Secondary Address Book Once I have created and set permissions on the PF how do I import the csv file into the PF ?? -----Original Message----- From: Martin Blackstone [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, July 29, 2003 12:11 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Secondary Address Book Sure -----Original Message----- From: mh exch [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, July 29, 2003 11:12 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Secondary Address Book So I would create a public folder with the name of the address book I want then import them into the public folder ? So I don't want to have anything left over from the notes world. I did try earlier in the process to use the connector but was have a lot of issues with it since the notes was being hosted buy a AS/400 so we didn't import anything in. Wondering about using a export of the notes address book then puting it to a csv file then import it into Exchange. I would like to import it into a new address book so I will have one for the internal and one for the external notes addresses which is what is in question. -----Original Message----- From: Ed Crowley [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, July 29, 2003 11:35 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Secondary Address Book I believe the easiest and most comprehensive way to bring the Notes Address Book into Exchange is to connect it via the Exchange Connector for Lotus Notes.
