Hoping someone is around this weekend -

I've got a new server for Exchange 2000 and want to use the famous Ed
Crowley move method. This means I'm basically going to install E2k on
the new server and move the mailboxes.

Do I have to run ForestPrep and DomainPrep on the 2nd server? When I
try to run the Exchange 2000 install on the 2nd server (win2k sp4) I get
:

The component MS Exchange messaging and collaboration services cannot be
assigned the action upgrade because:

Setup has detected that the Exchange 5.5 site your server belongs to has
not replicated to the Active Directory yet. You can either wait for
replication to complete and try the upgrade again or upgrade a server
from a site that has already been replicated to the AD.

When I look this up at microsoft, Q283027 suggests I run forestprep and
domainprep.

Is this a good idea? Is this going to wreck/damage my existing Active
Directory stuff? I thought running forestprep and domainprep on the
first server did all the schema changes necessary.......

Thanks
