everyone has the same dns settings due to dhcp would licensing give this error? I see nothing for either in the event logs on the dc or exchange server

This may seem too simple but can they resolve the email servers name. Also try accessing via OWA is that ok. Everytime this comes up it is either a network problem or DNS
