Thanks - I did contact PSS and have had great service in the past but their SLA for a consultant to get back to you is four hours so I thought someone might be able to assist in the interim.
Anyway, it seems the issue was related to our AV software. In the early stages, I stopped the AV services but the issue was not resolved until I actually uninstalled the software.....
