I'm working on an Exchange 2000 server (single server site) hosting serveral domains. One of these domains we are setting up w/ a secondary MX to a remote unix server - the unix guy is figuring it out on that end, but I need to set up a connector to dequeue using ETRN from that server.
Looks like I need to set up an SMTP connector specifying to Request ETRN/TURN on the advanced tab. I set up the remote mail server - for scheduling was going to go w/ every hour or 2 hours. I selected Issue ETRN and added the domain I want to dequeue to the list. 2 questions - sechduling - is their guidelines for this? I'd like to do every 1-2 hours. I might also set it to dequeue whenever there is an outbound message over that connector. Now the big question - on the address space tab, what domain do I list? This connector is primarily for inbound only via etrn. It might be used for outbound in the future, but most outbound currently uses direct delivery and a connector to an ISP relay for several domains. Thanks in advance - I'm a newbie to ETRN dequeuing - never had an application for it until now.
