Ed Crowley MCSE+Internet MVP Freelance E-Mail Philosopher Protecting the world from PSTs and Bricked Backups!T -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Toby Considine (UNC Chapel Hill) Sent: Thursday, November 20, 2003 8:20 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: AD Clean-Up and 5.5-2003 Migration Some months ago, I reported in this forum issues I had moving the second (of many) additional Exchange 5.5 organization into a Exchange 200 Forest. The ADC was precipitously ripped out following a complet shut-down of all mail processing in for the first Org in the Forest. It turned out that using the ADC, a Contact can be created in the ADC with the same EMail Address as an existing exchange account (something you can't do with the usual admin tools), and (no surprise) that doing so *reaally* distrubs Exchange when it is deciding how to deliver mail. Now, we are trying to move again. The central IT non-exchange guys have upgraded the Campus forest to support MSX2003 to meet the needs of some other units on a campus. The only problem is, I have all the AD and MSX5.5 entitites that remember that they used to be synchronized. What issues are about to slam into me, and how can I address them in advance? thanks toby considine _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=&lang =english To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=&lang=english To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
