In the past 5 years we went from CA ArcServe to Veritas BackupExec to CommVault Galaxy. We are very happy with the CommVault solution. We backup over SAN fiber fabric, a dedicated GB backend server network and the user's 100MB network. It is very fast and resilient. It is worth your time to look at this. My test recovery of Exchange 5.5 has been flawless in each of my 4 tests. I expect the same when we migrate to Exchange 2003 this year.

We would like to so the usual mailbox backup and also snap backups from SAN BCV's. I would like to hear from the members about these two products before we actually go ahead with the purchase. We are using 5.5 and will likely go with 2000 or 2003. We are migrating to a SAN as well. Is there any way to do mailbox backup from the BCV itself?
