Thanks for the help! If it helps these are active/active clusters. The
Active Directory shows the virtual server name for the user, but the 5.5
directory shows the actual server name as the home MDB and home MTA for the
mailbox instead of the virtual server name.

I have heard of this before. It is a name resolution issue. I am
having trouble finding documentation. Still looking...

Subject: Exchange 2000 and Outlook
This may be a quick question.. I Hope..
We are rolling out Exchange 2000 hot and heavy. So far we have migrated
about 4000 5.5 mailboxes.
one issue we have not been able to explain to users and that I have seen
in
my own Inbox. This problem did not show up in testing and I did not see
this in my own inbox until I started to load up the new E2K servers with
users.
Ok, so you have Outlook open and you know an email is coming or at least
you
are checking to see if any is there before you go to a meeting. You
dont
see any messages in Outlook, but if you refresh you screen or click on
another message you get a few emails...? To give you a little more
detail,
I can receive an email on my Blackberry 957 WSM (Wireless-Snail-Mail)
but
not see it in Outlook until I refresh, click on another message, or wait
long enough for some interval to pass.
I am hoping there is some kind of configuration I can adjust to prevent
this
from happening. Around here Execs watch Outlook like its the only thing
they use and most times they know when certain emails are coming or
should
be there. Does anyone know why this is, or seen this yourself?
TIA
Mike
