Agree 100%. Most of the VB scripts that I've seen require OutLook or OE to
be running on the machine that will send the message. Using BLAT, since it
is a command line utility will completely bypass the requirement to have the
client running or installed - it uses SMTP within your Exchange server.

Very nice utility - AND IT'S FREE!

Does anyone know or recommend a script that will return an email without
having to use a client (O2K or OE) on the Exchange Server? I've looked and
installed the CDO option but have a snag where I still have to monitor the
mailbox. Using a rule to forward it to myself negates the autoscript and
also means I have to have the client running.....

Or use BLAT instead of a POP3 mailer...

If one of your servers has the IMC, you can use one of the freeware POP3
command line mailers, and use a scheduled event on the server.

Is there a way for you to have an email automatically sent out once a week.
The reason I ask is that the company wants a e-mail sent out every Monday
morning telling everyone to complete there billable time sheets. If anyone
knows how to do this please let me know.
