Same AD Forest. The Forest can contain multiple Domains, and indeed multiple
Trees, but it's got to be one Forest. This is because the Global Address List is
drawn from the Global Catalogue, and the 'Global' bit means 'across the whole
Forest'.

There are meta-directory products that allow you to add names from another GC to
yours (and vice-versa), but I've no experience of them and they sound
complicated.

So - you can't have multiple Exchange 2000 Orgs in the same Forest; and a single
Exchange 2000 Org can't span multiple Forests.

Subject: Exchange 2000

Hello All,

A quick question. To enable exchange2000 servers to be in the same exchange
organisation, do they also have to be in the same Windows2000 domain
structure if you are using active directory? Or is it possible to have them
in two separated active directory domain structures and still be in the same
exchange organisation, but in separated sites?

Thanks.
