have seen it. I have a person that sends mail from O2K with the internet only
config – periodically it comes thru differently. No apparent rhyme or reason.
I have gotten them on the phone and walked thru the
steps.

I have a
very very starnge situation here. When I arrived here, mail services were
provided by another company. Some of our users had multiple mailboxes, which
they chosse which name to put in the from feild. When we rolled our own mail
here, we decided just to give multiple smtp addresses to each person, and have
only one display name for each of them. Just so happens now that sometimes
when my boss sends an email, the name of one of his old mailboxes shows up as
the from name, but it uses his current email address. I tested this this
morning with hot mail, and sent email to two different smtp address for the
same mailbox. One reply came as one name, and another reply came as another,
and worse still, the old display name came up with the new email address, and
the new name came up with the old address.

SP2, and I have fine toothed all of the server settings for the mailbox, the
user, and the user's (just my boss) Outlook. Anyone ever see anything like
this before? It just started happenuing yesterday.
