IIRC, the RAS client also doesn't get all the info from DHCP like you think it would.  Do an ipconfig/all on the ras client and see what shows up.

Name Resolution??  Your RAS server is not handing out a WINS or DNS server.

My remote users were dialing in to an NT 4.0 RAS server making a tcp/ip
connection and were authenticated by RAS. They could not authenticate to our
Exchange 5.5 server until I enabled Netbeui. I know precious little about
Exchange but this doesn't seem right. Suggestions gratefully accepted.
