Stay on the list. Watch what your admins are doing. Second guess them (not to their face) with questions to this list. Lots of smart people here and there are usually a couple of ways to solve problem.
When you see a problem they are having put it to the list and then see what they come up with. We (people on the list) are always right. Go to http://www.win2000mag.com/ and read the stuff on exchange. It is usually a quick read 2-4 pages but informative. About 50% of the stuff in there either starts on this list or gets discussed on this list - Antivirus API, Instant Messaging to name a couple. Go to Microsoft online seminars. Listen to all the exchange stuff which interests you. There are hours of useless stuff but also hours of good stuff. Lastly, see if they can give you more small stuff to control like making sure the exchange antivirus is updated and working or assisting with restore/disaster training. I tried to give you the free stuff obviously there are books, classes, and setting up you own exchange system at home. ellery july Technical Lead Northwest Area Foundation 332 Minnesota e-1201 St. Paul, MN 55101 email - [EMAIL PROTECTED] phone - 651-225-3895 fax - 651-225-7695 -----Original Message----- From: Jolley Lee @Consult [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, October 25, 2001 4:58 AM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: Learning material I am new to this list and don't get to work with Exchange except for the clients.
