Title: Message
Saw these quite often in my IMS outbound queue.  I may be wrong.  Suspect these mails are generated by the postmaster account.
Someone external sent a mail with a "dummy domain" in the from field  to a mailbox that has been deleted.
Postmaster return a NDR to the sender but unable to deliver to the "dummy domain".  It will stuck in the queue for 72 hrs, retry every
4 hrs or so.  After the timeout period expired Postmaster will remove the mails from the queue.
I just left the mails as it is, system should remove it eventually.

I noticed those in our IMS from time to time as well.  Our relay is closed, so I don't think it can be spammers attempting to use our Exchange server as an open relay.  I've never been sure why they show up.  Anyone know how they get into the IMS to begin with?

Has anyone seen messages with the originator "< >" sitting in the Outbound Messages Awaiting Delivery" in the IMS.

These messages were not created within our organiztion.  The destinations are to various domains.

Thanks...
