Title: Message
Kevin, are you doing this while the server is online? Since one of the steps is stopping the IS, I am planning to do this this evening. Have you run into any issues yet?

Excellent point, but regardless you can still use ISSCAN to remove attachments from your IS right?  That way after your done rebuilding all of your machines, someone can't re-open it ;-)

Cleaned or not, it is still on the machines that sent it. Read what it does? cleaning the server is only the beginning..

Configure NAV for Exchange to block attachments.  This stopped "goner" in its tracks.  I block: *.com, *.exe, *.scr and also the "double extensions" like *.jpg.vbs.  and assorted others.

We just got this one.  Norton's on Exchange and the desktops did NOT catch
it and our virus definitions are current, so be careful.  We are downloading
Antigen as I type.
