Well, if you can deactivate Syskey, you already got sufficient rights to change admin password in the User manager ;) Could you point me to any of these utilities that can actually crack a win2k's SAM database? I am pretty sure about this not being so easy at all, I suppose that if there even is such a tool, it will be from some big company asking mucho $$$ for it's use.
But, if I'm wrong and you're right, could you prove it to me? (I'm pretty convinced I know a lot about this so it would be good if someone can smack my face in the dirt and prove me wrong ;)) Thanks > -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- > Van: Glen Macdonald [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Verzonden: dinsdag 18 december 2001 17:33 > Aan: MS-Exchange Admin Issues > Onderwerp: RE: Off topic Win 2k issue. > > > There are utilities out there that will allow you to > easily crack Win2k passwords, and regarding Syskey, it > can be disabled, and the password retrieved, though > you run the risk of nuking the box. > > --- "Bob t.
