Since you don't need the synchronisation at this stage, there shouldn't be a problem. We are about to upgrade from a NT4 domain with Exchange 5.5 SP4 to AD. We are hoping to stage our upgrade, and wanted to put AD on first and if all went well implement the ADC a week or so later, followed by an upgrade to Exchange 2000. We haven't found any good docs on the feasibility of this, so hopefully the list can help. Anyway, my question is will Exchange 5.5 function properly in an AD domain without the connector or do we need to install and configure the connector right away? Thanks in advance for any direction/resources you can provide.
