Mail Essentials on a seperate box as a gateway to Exchange server. I'm having trouble with users in remote offices relaying mail through our Exchange server. The users are not connected through leased lines. They share an internet connection with local technical colleges(local to them, not me). I've set the Mail Essentials box and the Exchange box to allow relaying only to clients that authenticate. I've tested both boxes with with two of those wonderful blackhole sites, and they passed. The remote clients can pop their mail, but cannot send mail even though they've set the client software(Outlook Express)to authenticate. Also, I had the same problem with some Macs, but only here at the main site. The authentication check box in the client fixed those. What am I forgetting? I'm sure it will be something simple, but I'm stumped.
