What it is is this:
I exported the key from server 1 and imported it to server 2
It doesnt just take that one value.. it takes the whole Key.
When it does this, it puts the values of Server 1 in that Parameters key, along with any other server values from Server 1
I had to go in and edit that key to put Server 2 in there.
then I was able to start IMS

Does admin show up the right domains in message filtering? I suspect the binary data is screwed. Take a look at Admin first.

I cant get the IMS to start after exporting the key from one server and importing it into another server.

Yes, that will work. Make sure that the entry is Binary Data i.e. Binary Value. Also make sure the entries are separated by 00 and end in 00 00 or it won't work!!

They are actually held in the HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIMC\Parameters\TurfTabl
e registry entry.  I think it's binary data, though.  Now, (standard disclaimer here!) I've never tried this, but you could try exporting this reg entry to another server.

Test lab time....

I have more than one Exchange 5.5 server in my org..
Server 1 has about 20 - 30 domains listed in the IMS to block (move to
turfdir)
Anyone know a way to export those domain names so i can import them into another server? List Charter and FAQ at: http://www.sunbelt-software.com/exchange_list_charter.htm
