Nope.  All items, (deleted items, contacts, appointments, sent items are all stored in the local .pst file in Outlook.

No sent items?  Deleted items folder is empty?  No contacts or appointments?  They all suck up space.

Subject: Mailbox resources in an empty Mailbox??

I hope one of you mavens out there can answer this question.

I am running Exchange 5.5 (SP4) with OWA.  When I open the administrator console and look at the Private Information Store-Mailbox resources, I see mailboxes with items in them, but when I try to retrieve the mail in those mailboxes (either through OWA or standard POP), the mailboxes appear to be empty.  For example, one mailbox shows 4 items and 14K total resources, but when I try to read the mail from that mailbox, it shows as empty.

What is happening here?  Is there any way (as the administrator) to examine those mailboxes and the supposed mail items?

Thanks in advance.
