Thanks to all of you that responded. I will begin by adding another server
to this site. By the way, would this also explain why my IS and IMS are
shutting down each night during the scheduled maintenance period? David Elebute Director of MIS SuperClubs (MCP,CCNA) U.S. Office

need to restore the whole IS. -----Original Message----- Because of the limitation of 5.5 whereby
all mailboxes are held in one store, if you ever have to restore a mailbox (or
even the whole machine!) you will have to restore the whole IS. Therefore,
taking your restore hardware into consideration, you need to decide how fast
you can restore the entire IS. For instance, if your hardware restores tapes at
4GB per hour, then an 18 GB store will take 4.5 hours. This might not be such
an issue when it's only one mailbox, but you'll have users banging your door
down when their whole server has gone down. Kevin -----Original
Message----- Is there a limit to the size of the Information Store
on any one Exchange 5.5 Server? Mine is currently at 18GB, I believe I read
somewhere that there is a limit to the size of the Store when things like
backups and maintenance on the server start to become issues.
