Same problem I am getting - I use 8.5 I was hoping 8.6 would solve it but does not seem so by your error.

 

If you figure this out let me know.  I am thinking of going to a different product.

We are running Exchange 5.5 SP4.

We use Backup Exec 8.6 build 3278.

I have one server that is giving me

Media Name: "Media created 3/26/2002 10:37:20 AM"
Backup of "\\MailServer\Microsoft Exchange Information Store "
Backup set #2 on storage media #1
Backup set description: "Backup FULL"
Backup Type: FULL - Database & Logs (flush committed logs)
Backup started on 3/26/2002 at 10:38:40 AM.
The Exchange Store service is not responding. Backup set canceled.

Backup completed on 3/26/2002 at 10:50:00 AM.
Backed up 0 Exchange Server store(s)
Processed 2,285,764,782 bytes in  11 minutes and  20 seconds.
Throughput rate: 192.3 MB/min

 

 

As an error.....

We do NOT have Outlook installed on the exchange server, and should not need to have it installed.

Anyone got an idea of why this is happening on just this ONE server?
