Just give them permission to open that user's mailbox. And yes, you need to be sure you have permission to do that first.

Why not grant the supervisor direct access to the user's email?

Subject: Getting users mail
I am in need of some help. I have a supervisor who is asking me to get a
user's e-mail for the supervisor to go through. I am running Exchange 5.5,
on an NT4 box. Is there an easier way of doing this other than going to the
machine and creating a pst file? The user is using Outlook 2000, accessing
the exchange server. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I need the
answer quickly.
Thanks,
