Wrong. What if the virus def isn't out yet?   Look, bottom line, only a fool would tell you NOT to put AV protection on something that the entire industry knows needs it. You need to cover as many bases as possible. That means this:   Internet - AV gateway Exchange - Exch AV Servers - Server AV Desktops - Desktop AV   Does your management agree that it is worth the risk of serious long downtimes just to avoid spending a few thousand dollars on Exch AV. As for Antigen, it works great.
