Strictly DNS then.

There is no delegation wizard *in DNS* to do this, so you may first want to check the delegation you did before and ensure that you didn't transfer the zone to another server.

What you want is the Security Tab.  Right-click on the au.company.com zone in DNS, and select "Properties".  Go to the Security tab.  Modify to your heart's content.

Keep in mind that the "delegation" you're thinking of and the "delegation" available under DNS are two different things ;)

Im talking about allowing a defined group of admins rights to the subdomain ONLY.
DNS is setup as company.com with a subdomain called au. This subdomain is au.company.com. we want Admins in AU to be able to work with the records in au.company.com but not be able to touch anything else in DNS.
We are win2k native mode.

Are you talking about delegating permission to AD objects (security/permission related and done through ADUC)?

Or are you talking about delegating a DNS zone to another server (not security related and done via the DNS snapin)?

I think you may have them confused with each other.  Which tool did you use to delegate what to whom?

i went thru the delegation wizard, and while i created a delegation, i cant see how i tell it who can do what in that delegation, nor can ya pull up a properties on it. All you can do it tell it what Server hosts it.
