We have single site, two DCs and all on the same LAN. It looks like every time when I create new account (user or group) I have to rebuilt RUS. Otherwise it takes long time to show up. If I just update some attribute on exist account, that have no problem.

Is this a single site?  Single Exchange Server?  How many DC's?  All on the same LAN?

If I make lots of changes, I will manually rebuild the RUS.  It's just habit now.

Subject: Recipient Update Service

I am running Exchange 2000. After I created a new mailbox account, it tooks long time (some time several days and I have to rebuilt GAL) to show up on Global Address List. I have setup Recipient Update Service(RUS) update interval as always run and domain controller is GC server.

Any idea?

Thank you very much
