RE: Exchange 2000 and virtual shares stopping on their own

NIMDA can't always be cleaned despite what the commercial companies tell us. We had a similar problem and it was NIMDA that had infected several DLL's and each attempt to clean would allow it to move from DLL to DLL which it what it does. I have to restart the site to get it back up again. Then it goes down again after a few days.
