Wanted to add a little more info to this. I can't seem to telnet on
port 25 to the domains that have problems from domain X as I do not get
the header but I can telnet to those same problem domains from domain Y.
When you telnet to port 25 does it automatically try to do a reverse DNS
lookup?

Subject: Issues sending mail.

Hi,

I'm running an Exchange 2000 SP2 server on Win2K SP2.

I've been experiencing a delay sending messages to three external SMTP
domains from Domain X. This started to happen a couple of weeks ago. I
get delay notifications for these domains. The mail seems to eventually
get through. I have the delay notification set for 2hours. I have
tested sending mail from another domain (Domain Y) and do not appear to
have an issue with delays as the mail gets right through. These systems
are in no way linked.

I do not have a reverse lookup DNS entry setup for my MX record for
either the Domain X or Y.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Darrin Carter
