Lpd.exe is a little more granular than ADSIEdit.

No errors in the application event log after running forestprep?
Or the Exchange2000 install log on c:\?

Thanks, using the Q article that you pointed I see the object but
reading the white paper from MS called "In-Place Upgrade from Microsoft
Exchange 5.5 to Microsoft Exchange 2000", page 12 which points to the
same object but using LDP, I could not.
