That works for 5.5. For 2000 that is not an option. However, I would consider:
What browser are you using? Is the issue the same for other workstations or other users? For kicks, what A/V exists at the client? Then look at the server: Any recent changes at the server level? Anything in the app event log? What is you restart IIS? Let's go from there, unless someone else has something better?
