I also take a full bump every night.  I sometimes don't get the cleaning process right, though.

I always do nightly full.  It makes the restore process cleaner, too.

Legato and it's set to do a once a week full backup and daily incrementals. For some reason I was under the impression that this log files cleared themselves after a preset 24 hour period. So now that I have been set straight, I shall change the backup schedule to a nightly full.

If circular logging is off, then the system will continue to write logs until it is either backed up properly with an Exchange aware backup program, or in your case until the disk is full.

What are you backing up with?

Hopefully someone can answer this, I didn't have much luck on Google or Technet. On my E2K server, the MDBDATA folder keeps filling up with transaction logs and fills the up the disk instead of overwriting them to the point of shutting down the MTA service.  Circular logging is not enabled and I can't find any reason why they are not being overwritten. Anyone else seen this?

Thanks
